After five years of working with Zen, we’re thrilled to announce that Harriet has been promoted from Content Writer to Relationship Manager — a role which she’s been covering for the last nine months.
During Jen’s maternity leave, Harriet worked in a Relationship Manager capacity and — enjoying and excelling at the many varied aspects of the role — we’re delighted to have offered her a permanent position.
Harriet said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed covering maternity leave and having the opportunity to explore the Relationship Manager role. I’m really enjoying having a closer relationship with clients and being able to see projects and specific pieces of content through from initial idea to completion, rather than solely being involved in the writing aspect.”
As an NCTJ trained journalist with extensive experience working as a reporter and editor, Harriet brings a diverse range of skills to her new role including involvement in overarching client strategies, management and prioritising, sharing ideas, and generally nurturing and lovebombing clients — all key parts of the RM role.
“While creating content is a very important part of what we do, it’s only one piece of the jigsaw so it’s great to take charge of a whole jigsaw! I’ve always loved writing, so I adore that part of the Relationship Manager role, but I also enjoy: the feeling of securing another project or retainer with a client, and reviewing plans at the end of the month knowing you’ve been able to achieve everything the client wanted and more,” she added.
“Plus, of course, having the opportunity to really get to know our clients and develop a trusting and reliable relationship with them. I genuinely love working at Zen so I’m excited to see how the agency grows and thrives over time!”
Rhiannon Williams, Head of Agency, said: “Harriet is an integral part of the Zen team and we’ve been so pleased to see her flourish with new challenges over the last few months. She’s extremely skilled in, and passionate about, the art of writing, but she’s also one of the most organised and meticulous people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting — all of which are the ideal recipe for a fantastic Relationship Manager.
“With Jen returning from maternity leave with a client base that’s busier than ever, and new clients coming on board, we’re thrilled to be positioning ourselves for continued growth following what has been a challenging past year for everyone in the business world.”
