A campaign to showcase Telford and wider Shropshire as one of Europe’s premier Convention capitals has teamed up with one of the Midlands’ largest public relations consultancies to help shine a light on the region and encourage visitors to come and experience its brand new and exciting offer.
Meet Telford & Shropshire, the official convention bureau for the county and part of Telford & Wrekin Council, has appointed Shrewsbury-based Zen Communications to spearhead a number of exciting campaigns aimed at inspiring more event organisers and businesses to stage conferences, exhibitions, and team building getaways at some of the county’s renowned venues, such as the Telford International Centre.
The agency will be working with the convention team to promote its Be Inspired campaign which is focused on opening the books on Telford, showcasing it as a destination that really stands up against the very best UK’s cities and which has rightly earned its place as one of the top five convention centres in the country. Working in partnership with the convention bureau’s many members, the team at Zen Communications will be focusing on communicating messages around the campaign to both national and international audiences, highlighting the true breadth of opportunities on offer to business tourists, from its wealth of conference facilities and meeting hubs to its extensive array of team building, hospitality and leisure options.
