New Year, New Faces for Zen

We’re thrilled to have expanded our fabulous team of communications experts by bringing two former journalists on board.

Guy Pearson has joined us as Relationship Manager, a role which will see him head up our dedicated Trade division.  A qualified journalist with over three decades’ experience within the communications industry, Guy will be looking after clients across a diverse range of sectors from commercial vehicles and logistics, to traditional manufacturing and engineering.

Guy said: “Working at Zen is entirely different to my previous roles within PR as it’s not just about churning out press releases, but in fully immersing ourselves into our client’s businesses so that we’re able to provide the very best communications solutions for their needs, and deliver results that have a genuine impact on their bottom line.

“By becoming an integral part of our clients’ daily operations, we have a significant part to play in celebrating their successes and in protecting and defending their reputations as if they were our own.”

The second new face within the team is Content Writer Harriet Ernstsons-Evans, who worked as a senior journalist and editor on weekly regional titles before spending a number of years working on a freelance basis, including for Zen.

“Joining the agency officially is a hugely positive start to the year for me, and I’m thrilled to be a fully-fledged member of the team,” Harriet said.  “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to use my copywriting and language skills to develop engaging and impactful content for clients to share across all available communications channels.

“There are a number of reasons why Zen was a perfect fit for me, with one of the core ones being the focus on flexible working.  As a mum of two young children, Zen’s ethos of making work fit into your life rather than having to fit your life around work has been a huge bonus for me.”

The agency, based in Telford in Shropshire, was founded in 2007 by Managing Director Felicity Wingrove.

She said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Guy and Harriet to Zen as we look to continue to grow our client base across the UK and beyond.  As former journalists, both individuals bring a wealth of copywriting expertise to their respective roles and have already made a hugely positive impact to our team and clients.

“Our team members are all technically trained writers, with everyone sharing the agency’s strong vision, values, and passion for pushing the boundaries and testing new ground – and we’re very much looking forward to a bright and successful 2019.”
